Lehigh Christian Academy responded to the Covid-19 crisis immediately by continuing to receive their Biblically integrated curriculum while remote learning. Their learning included assessments and projects.
Here is a timeline of our action plan:
Week of March 9th: Teachers began preparations for online distance learning.
March 12th: Instructional supports (textbooks, packets, etc.) sent home with students in preparation for a possible prolonged closure.
March 13th: Governor Wolf closes all schools in Pennsylvania for COVID-19.
March 16th: Start of our online distance learning. Students were able to meet with their teachers for live sessions via zoom, google meet and YouTube lessons, and a variety of other ways to continue learning.
March 20: School opened for administration to get any items students forgot to take home. Parents were able to pick up missed items from the comfort of their car.
April 13: Building was opened for teachers to pick up additional curriculum items needed for remote learning.
April 15: School was opened for administration to get any items students need to continue remote learning. Parents were able to pick up missed items from the comfort of their car.
At this time, Lehigh Christian Academy is planning on rescheduling some of the events from April and May on our school calendar to a later date.
